For independent cafés
Live menu boards, daily specials, window displays, and equipment status - built with SimSense, no design or code required. Free to start with any tablet or screen you already own.
Made for shops like yours
SimSense bridges the digital to physical for your cafe. Screens for your customers, and your team.
Front of house
Screens your customers and walk-by traffic see.
Update prices, sold-out items, and seasonal drinks from your phone. Mount any tablet you already own; the menu reloads the moment you change it.
A different sim for every day, every shift, every season. Swap them with a tap. Push the same one to every window screen at once.
A rotating spotlight aimed at sidewalk traffic - featured drinks, pastries, today’s reason to come in. Designed to pull eyes from across the street.
Push a clean “we’re hiring” panel to your window the moment you need it - with a QR code straight to your application form. Take it down the day you fill the role.
Show pickup queue status, wait times, and ready-for-collection calls. Cuts the “is mine ready yet?” interruptions at the counter.
Third-wave shops: tell the story behind the cup. Origin, roaster, process, brew method - beautifully laid out, live-edited as your single-origins rotate.
What’s in the case today, what’s already sold out, what’s coming out of the oven at 3pm. Updates as your day moves.
Network name and password in big mono type, plus a QR that auto-joins on the first tap. The WiFi question, answered before customers ask.
Back of office
Screens for you and your team.
One sim, every store. Push your house menu everywhere and override per-location when one of them runs out of oat milk before the others.
The week at a glance: who opens, who closes, who’s off. Lives on a back-office screen; anyone can request a swap from their phone.
Optional
Plug in a small sensor and your displays start showing live equipment status: “machine warming up”, “fridge above 5°C”, “shot count today: 247”. Useful behind the counter; impressive in the window.
How it works
01
Any iPad, Android tablet, or basic LCD with a browser. Place it where customers can see it, or where your staff can see it.
02
Describe what you want to display in plain English. No separate account or download needed. SimSense builds Sims - self-contained mini-apps that look the way you want them.
03
Devices and Sims each get their own URL - open the device’s URL on the screen once and you’re done with the hardware. After that, pick which Sim it shows from your phone, your computer, or while you’re standing at the supplier. Changes are live in seconds.
Goldenrod Coffee - a real menu sim, running live above.
Beyond menu boards
Menu boards are the first thing you put on screen. Behind them, the same AI that builds your sims can read your POS, your fridge, your door counter - and act on what it sees. Lunch Specials that adapt to inventory. Procurement that watches inventory. Promotions that respond to traffic. All of this works through SimSense MCP & Claude integrations - the same standard your other tools already use to talk to Claude. We’re working with a small group of independent operators ready to go further.

Common questions
No. You describe what you want; SimSense builds it. If you’ve ever sent a text message, you can build a sim.
No. Claude is built into SimSense - sign up, describe what you want, watch it build. If you already use Claude (on the web or in Claude Code) you can also connect SimSense via MCP and author sims directly from there. And because MCP is open, Claude can pull from any other MCP-connected tools you already use - your POS, your scheduling app, your accounting - so what’s on screen reflects what’s actually happening in your shop.
Any tablet you already have works. iPad, Android tablet, or a basic LCD screen with a browser. No new hardware is required to start. If you want the equipment-monitoring features, a $10 ESP32 sensor handles it.
Digital menu services are static - you log in to a CMS, you upload images, you wait. SimSense is built around AI: you describe a change, it’s live in seconds.
Your display keeps showing the last loaded sim. When connectivity returns, it picks up your latest changes automatically.
Free to start. We’re in beta - every feature is open. Full breakdown on the pricing page.
Yes - that’s the default. Sign up free, build a sim, point a tablet at it. Pay later only if/when there’s a paid tier and you decide you want more.
